The Whole World is Watching

What went through your mind when I showed you our blog today in class and the Cluster Map with the red dots?  The visitors from all over the world – Japan, Sweden, Portugal…. Those are countries I’d love to visit, and here is a real connection to our class!  Does it make you want to look for blogs from other schools in countries you’re curious about?  I’m not sure how to go about that; maybe I’ll do some googling and see what happens! I would love to find classrooms for us to exchange emails/blogging comments with and will be looking into that, too.  Is there a country you’ve always wanted to visit, or maybe live for awhile? Where, and why?

  1. I’ve been to Canada in 2005 and China in 2007, and Canada is really similar to here. China is communist, and it’s really populous, especially in Shanghai–everybody lives in apartments. In Shanghai, though, there’s so many museums and malls, way more than America. I’d like to stay in China for over 3 weeks instead of the regular time I stay there for vacation.

  2. This is THE AVID READER who is one of your students. I like living in cities–they feature so many tourism attractions!

  3. I’m with you, Avidreader. Although I like the quiet of the mountains, I like visiting big cities like Boston, Philadelphia, Toronto. And YAY – you can comment and it shows your ‘name’
